High-Speed Reciprocating Car Washer (Rollover Car Wash)
Jul 25 2024

1. Definition

The high-speed reciprocating car washer, commonly known as gantry or rollover type, is a fully automatic and fast vehicle washing equipment. The vehicle remains stationary, while the gantry frame equipped with brushes and high-pressure water nozzles moves back and forth along the track to complete full-body washing in one or two reciprocations.

2. Working Mode

The vehicle stops at the designated position, pulls on the handbrake and shifts into neutral gear.

The gantry travels back and forth along the track to complete the whole process:

High-pressure pre-washing → Foam spraying → Soft brush washing (side and top) → Rinsing → Optional: wax coating and air drying.

High-speed mode: 1.5–2 minutes per vehicle in one reciprocation; standard fine washing takes about 2–3 minutes per vehicle.

3. Core Features (High-speed Model)

Fast washing speed: Completes washing in around 90 seconds, ideal for high-traffic locations such as gas stations, auto service shops and vehicle fleets.

Small footprint: Narrow width, only requiring a track length of 7–9 meters on average, with strong site adaptability.

Paint-safe cleaning: EVA soft brushes plus profile sensing technology to automatically fit vehicle contours without damaging paintwork.

Full automation: PLC control and photoelectric induction; one-touch start, unattended operation and automatic fault self-diagnosis.

Low operating cost: Water and power saving; compatible with water recycling system to reduce operational expenses.

4. Application Scenarios

Gas stations, parking lots, auto beauty shops, 4S stores

Online car-hailing and taxi companies, small vehicle fleets

Sites with limited width and daily washing volume of 50–200 vehicles

5. Difference from Drive-through (Tunnel) Car Washer

Reciprocating (High-speed) Type: Vehicle stationary, machine moving; within 2 minutes per vehicle; short and narrow occupation; medium investment cost.

Drive-through (Tunnel) Type: Vehicle moving, machine fixed; less than 1 minute per vehicle; long floor space; high investment cost, suitable for large service stations.
